Internships at La Crabouille

The ceramic courses immerse you in the heart of the Dordogne punctuated by the gentle song of the cicadas.

Integrated into the rhythm of the workshop, the lessons take place at Catherine’Studio à la Crabouille, individually or in small groups of no more than 5 people. Private lessons are possible on request and the dates are to be defined according to the availability of the trainee and the workshop.

The full course takes place over 5 days, six hours/day. The half-course takes place over 5 days, three hours/day (to be defined in the morning or afternoon). Accommodation on site is not included in the price of the course, but if you like, you can book it.

The pottery course will allow you to learn the perfect turning of the piece you are creating, the shaping "à la plaque" or "au columbin", and you'll learn the printing techniques.

The interns are welcome to take at home with them, their own pottery creations, once they are dried up.

Another possibility is to cook the pottery pieces in the ovens and later they can be enameled (15€/Kg) and then they'll be sent to the trainee by post.

A wood-firing oven course, in a Phoenix oven, is planned each year and must be prepared in advance, for at least ten pieces of stoneware to be cooked.

After an initial telephone contact to define the internship dates, as well as the projects to be carried out, you can send a written confirmation, accompanied by a deposit corresponding to 20% of the value of your internship, in order to reserve your place.
